NTT Toyota Eswatini has strengthened its position in Eswatini’s high-value automotive market with the launch of an expanded range of Toyota vehicles, introducing new Hilux, Land Cruiser FJ, and RAV4 models priced between E658,500 and E999,900.
The unveiling, held at the NTT Toyota dealership in Mbabane, signals the dealership’s continued focus on the country’s premium vehicle segment, where demand is increasingly being driven by businesses, commercial fleet operators, agricultural enterprises, and affluent private buyers seeking durable vehicles with lower long-term operating costs.

Gideon Tolken, a Director of NTT Eswatini, the company that operates Toyota dealerships in the Kingdom as part of the wider NTT Motor Group officiated the launch. The company has maintained a presence in Eswatini’s automotive market for more than three decades through its dealerships in Mbabane and Manzini. According to NTT Toyota Eswatini, the business has positioned itself as one of the country’s leading authorized Toyota dealers, offering vehicle sales, servicing, genuine parts and finance solutions.
Leading the new portfolio is the Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2.8 GD-6 4×4 Legend MHEV 6AT, which enters the local market at E999,900, placing it among the most expensive mainstream bakkies currently available in Eswatini. Other additions include the Hilux Legend MHEV RB at E945,500, the Hilux Raider at E892,900, and the Hilux SRX derivatives ranging from E658,500 to E746,100.

Toyota also introduced the new Land Cruiser FJ, with the GX model retailing at E714,000 and the VX variant at E761,400. The launch further included the Toyota RAV4 2.5 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) GX, priced at E770,500, reflecting Toyota’s continued expansion of hybrid technology into regional markets.
For commercial customers, Toyota unveiled two Extra Cab Raider X derivatives. The flagship 2.8 GD-6 4×4 Raider X 6AT is priced at E842,200, while the rear-wheel-drive Raider X variant enters the market at E751,800.
The introduction of vehicles approaching the E1 million mark underscores the growing importance of vehicle financing within Eswatini’s automotive sector. Purchases at this price level are typically financed through asset-backed vehicle finance facilities offered by banks and financial institutions, allowing customers to spread repayments over several years instead of making outright cash purchases. This makes interest rates, lending conditions, and household affordability increasingly important factors influencing vehicle sales.
The launch also reflects confidence in demand for high-value utility vehicles despite prevailing economic pressures. Pick-up trucks remain essential capital assets across sectors such as construction, mining, agriculture, logistics, and infrastructure development, where businesses prioritize reliability, resale value, and operational durability over initial purchase price.

Toyota has historically maintained one of the strongest resale values in Southern Africa, a characteristic that continues to influence purchasing decisions among fleet operators and corporate buyers. The addition of hybrid technology to the RAV4 range also aligns with a gradual shift towards improved fuel efficiency and lower lifetime operating costs, even as hybrid adoption across Eswatini remains at an early stage.
For NTT Toyota Eswatini, the expanded product range represents more than a model refresh. It broadens the dealership’s offering across several high-margin market segments while reinforcing Toyota’s competitive position in one of Eswatini’s most valuable retail industries. With vehicles now spanning family SUVs, commercial workhorses, and premium off-road models, the company is positioning itself to capture both consumer demand and business investment as the country’s vehicle market continues to evolve.
